Nsikak-Abasi A. Etim holds a Bachelor of Agriculture (B.Agric.)(First Class Honours) degree in Agricultural Economics and Extension, University of Uyo, Nigeria. He earned a Master of Science (M.Sc) degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He also earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) degree in Resource and Environmental Economics and Environmental Economics from Michael Okpara University of Agriculture. Umudike, Abia State, Nigeria. He is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension, University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria and has 20 years teaching,research, mentoring and judging experience within and outside the university. His areas of research are Development, Resource and Environmental Economics with foci on poverty and efficiency issues in the contexts of production and environment. Dr. Etim has distinguished himself as an erudite scholar and a prolific writer. He has authored over ninety (90) full length peer reviewed scientific articles in reputable national and international journals, 2 book chapters and over 20 abstracts at conferences. He is a widely traveled scholar whose researches have won several awards, scholarships and grants from Carnegie Corporation of New York; European Commission; Agriculture For Food Security(AgriFose) 2030; and Food and Agriculture Organisation. He has also been invited and presented reviewed papers at several conferences, workshops and symposia in many countries including Morocco, Finland, United Arab Emirates, Ghana, Belgium, Kenya, South Africa, Sweden among others. In order to have access to professional development resources to enhance his skills and knowledge and stay up to date on changes within his field of study, while networking with other researchers across the globe, Dr. Etim is a member of many professional associations including International. Association of Scientific Innovation and Research; Swedish International Agricultural Network Initiative ; International Sociological Association (Spain); Association for International Agriculture and Rural Development ( USA); He is an advisory mentor in the Queen’s Young Leaders Program, University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. Furthermore, he serves as a mentor in the Commonwealth Mentorship Program, United Kingdom. Dr. Etim is happily married to radiant and ravishing Lady, Dr. NseAbasi Etim and the marriage is blessed with a handsome Son, Nsikak-Abasi Etim, Jnr. and pretty Daughter, NkebetAbasi Etim.
