Niels Bent Larsen received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in chemistry from the University of Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark, in 1993 and 1997, respectively. He is currently a Professor and the Section Head of the Department of Health Technology, Technical University of Denmark, Lyngby, Denmark. His current research interests are in high-resolution 3-D printing of compliant hydrogel materials to recreate the vascular network of body organs to enable advanced in vitro organ models.
