The predominant focus of my research is to develop and improve statistical methods for analyzing longitudinal data. This work is motivated by a growing substantive interest in understanding and analyzing how behaviors, or attitudes of individuals change or develop across a particular span of time. In response to this need, my work focuses on developing statistical techniques that effectively describe intrinsically nonlinear patterns of change for individuals as well as for a population.
