Nicholas Charles Denko

My research focus is on the study of physiology that is unique to the solid tumor, including gene expression changes caused by oxygen deprivation and nutrient stress. I then look at the impact of the gene expression changes on changes in tumor metabolism and response to conventional therapies.

I have co-authored more than 70 articles appearing in well-respected publications, including Proceedings of the National Academy of Science, Cell Metabolism, Molecular Cancer Therapeutics, International Journal of Cancer and Blood.

In addition, I have made more than 30 presentations around the world to medical research gatherings, including the International Conference on Tumor Cell Metabolism, Nature’s Aegean Conference on Tumor Microenvironment and Cellular Stress, and the American Association for Cancer Research.
