Neil McIlwaine

Neil Mcilwaine (Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. degree in electrical and electronic engineering from Queen’s University Belfast, U.K., in 1983, and the M.Sc. degree in manufacturing technology, design, and management from Ulster University, in 1993. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree with the Energy, Power, and Intelligent Control (EPIC) Research Cluster, Queen’s University Belfast. He spent 35 years in the power generation industry specializing in control and instrumentation and operations and was the Maintenance Manager at a 620 MW power station. His doctoral research is a market analysis of customer connected mass energy storage. Mr. McIlwaine is a member of the IET.
