Bio
Nan Zhao (Member, IEEE) received the B.Eng. degree in electrical engineering from the Taiyuan University of Technology, Taiyuan, China, in 2012, the M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Manchester, Manchester, U.K., in 2013, the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from McMaster University, Hamilton, ON, Canada, in 2017. During 2017–2018, he was a Sessional Lecturer with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, McMaster University. In 2018, he joined the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University College Dublin, Dublin, Ireland, as an Assistant Professor. His main research interests include electric power-train systems, energy storage systems, renewables integration, and power system analysis.
