Miyashita, Naoya

Naoya Miyashita received the B.E. degree in quantum and electronic engineering, and the M.S. in applied physics from the University of Tsukuba, Tsukuba, Japan, in 2005 and 2007, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in advanced interdisciplinary studies from The University of Tokyo (UT), Tokyo, Japan, in 2010, where his research was focused on the molecular beam epitaxial growth of GaInNAsSb material for solar cell applications. In 2010, he joined the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology, UT, where he is currently a Research Assistant Professor and is working on a project involving the development of high-efficiency multijunction solar cells. His research interests include dilute nitride materials and quantum dot systems for photovoltaics and optoelectronic devices. Dr. Miyashita was the recipient of the IEEE Fourth World Conference on Photovoltaic Energy Conversion (WCPEC) Outstanding Poster Award in 2006. He is a member of the Japan Society of Applied Physics.
