Ertugrul Bulent M

Professor of Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology at Adnan Menderes University School of Medicine Director of Adnan Menderes University Hospital Chronic Wound and Wound Infections Care Unit Dr. Ertugrul holds specialist of Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology from the University of İstanbul School of Medicine. He is working in Adnan Menderes University School of Medicine Department of Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology. He founded Adnan Menderes University Hospital Chronic Wound and Wound Infection Unit and was appointed Director of the unit. Dr. Ertuğrul is a member of Turkish Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases and a member of Board of Directors. He also co-founded Diabetic Foot Infections Study Group of the society and is the chair of the study group. He is a co-founder of Turkish Society of Western Anatolian Fungal Infections and is past chair general secretary of the society. He also co-founded Aydin Diabetic Foot Association and is still the General Secretary of the association. Dr. Ertugrul is also a member of Wound Management Association of Turkey. Dr. Ertugrul has produced more than 75 peer-reviewed research paper in national and international medical journals. He is a member of advisory committee of Turkish Consensus Report by Turkish Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases on "Diagnosis, Treatment and Prevention of Diabetic Foot Wounds and Infections". He is also a corresponding member of International Working Group on Diabetic Foot (IWGDF) Working Group on Foot Infection who published "IWGDF Guidance on the diagnosis and management of foot infection in person with diabetes". Dr. Ertugrul sits on the scientific secretariat of National Diabetic Foot Infection Symposiums and is the chair of the 5th National Diabetic Foot Infection Symposium that will be held on May, 2018. He also participated and directed numerous physician and nursing education programmes, courses, symposiums and conferences.
