Mustafa Akpinar (M’16) was born in Sakarya, Turkey, in 1983. He received the B.S. degree in mechanical engineering and the B.S. degree in computer engineering, in 2006 and 2010, respectively, the M.S. degree in mechanical engineering and the M.S. degree in computer engineering, in 2010 and 2014, and the Ph.D. degree in computer engineering from the Sakarya University, Turkey, in 2017. From 2006 to 2012, he worked in manufacturing and energy sectors as an engineer with several projects about demand forecast, sheet metal forming, and optimization. Since 2012, he has been a Research Assistant with the Computer Engineering Department, Sakarya University. His research interest is in statistics, time series analysis, demand forecasting, finite-element methods, sheet metal forming, CAD/CAE, optimization algorithms, and machine learning.
