Braulio Munoz

The effects of ethanol in the brain has led my interest in the neurophysiological mechanisms of ethanol; first, in glycine receptors and currently in synaptic plasticity. I was trained as an undergraduate and Ph.D. student by Dr. Luis Aguayo at the University of Concepcion in Chile and as a postdoctoral appointee by Dr. Brady Atwood at Indiana University in the USA. My skills are several from biochemical techniques, electrophysiological studies, animal care to behavioral protocols, with this broad skill set, It made me apply my knowledge not only into the addiction field but also in Alzheimer disease and pain research. Resulting in a variety of different publications which helps me to understand several neurosciences research fields.
