Dr. Moreno has received numerous awards and recognitions for his contributions to the field of Interventional Cardiology. He has received the Best Picture Award and the Award from the Clinical Cardiology Section for the best article published in the Spanish Journal of Cardiology, both from the Spanish Society of Cardiology. He has also been awarded for the most relevant publications in Area 2, Hospital La Paz, the best clinical trial, and the best optical coherence tomography image, all in 2012. Other awards include the IX Boston Scientific Award for Intracoronary Imaging in Hemodynamics and Interventional Cardiology in 2008 and the Award for the most outstanding manuscript published in the Thrombosis section of the American Heart Association in 2006.

Dr. Moreno is affiliated with various professional organizations, including the Spanish Society of Cardiology, Society of Chest Pain Centers and Providers, Castilian Society of Cardiology, Geriatric Cardiology Association, Ischemic Heart Disease and Acute Cardiology Association, Cardiac Imaging Association, European Association of Percutaneous Coronary Intervention, and the European Society of Cardiology.
