Previous experience as consultant in NHS clinical biochemistry, MD of medical diagnostic companies, and more recently in the theory and method of evidence based medicine, especially but not exclusively applied to acute and chronic pain. Large numbers of scientific publications in high impact journals, including over 100 Cochrane reviews, together with several books.
