I started my research carrier in 2005 under the supervision of Dr Saima Riazuddin and Dr Shaheen N Khan as a PhD student. After securing PhD degree in 2010, I continued my research in CEMB and later in AIMC & JH Complex with Dr S Riazuddin. During this period I joined Dr Ahmed lab at CCHMC, USA and School of Medicine, University of Maryland, USA and focused on SNP analysis and exome sequencing for the identification of pathogenic variants in families segregating with deafness, ID and OCA.
