Dr Sayeed Hossain has experience in managing multiple research projects in the following areas:
• 6 years in creep study, understanding how residual stresses influence creep formation in engineering components operating at high temperatures
• 7 years in life extension, investigating how to accurately quantify residual stresses to extend life of ageing power plant
• 3 years in part distortion study, looking at the influence of residual stress on part distortion in aerospace material, how to manage residual stress by advising on cutting strategy
