During 90´s, I pioneered protocols for mobilization and collection of hematopoietic progenitors in pediatric and adult patients with a doctoral thesis on "Collection and transplantation of mobilized PBSC in pediatric patients". In our transplant unit, we have performed over 25 years more than 1000 hematopoietic transplants and we have developed a extensive transplant programme using graft manipulation combined to donor lymphocyte infusions in order to prevent GvHD while preserve GvL effect not only in haploidentical transplants but also in matched related and unrelated donors. I authored and coauthored more than 300 papers in the field of HSCT.
