Bio
During last years his research activity has been connected with two topics: i) advanced nanomaterials for storage of hydrogen and ii) advanced bionanomaterials for medical applications. In the first case, all the research projects attention was focused on design, synthesis, characterization, testing and final implementation of high capacity adsorption systems for hydrogen. Electrochemical energy storage will be becoming important with increasing complexity of our power distribution systems. In the second case, he is successfully searching for new bionanomaterials with advanced mechanical and biological properties. For example, the properties of so far studied titanium-ceramic nanocomposites and nanocrystalline nickel-free stainless steels are very promising. From the point of view of mechanical and corrosion properties, these nanocomposites will be promising biomaterials for use as hard tissue replacement implants.
