I am based at the MRC/CSO Social and Public Health Sciences Unit, University of Glasgow where the focus of my work has been on social inequalities in health, especially mental health, over the life course, using longitudinal data from the West of Scotland: Twenty-07 Study. In 2011 I began a CSO funded doctoral fellowship looking at the influence of socioeconomic factors in how problems with smoking, drinking and mental health develop over the life course.
