Minhyon Jeon received the Ph.D. degree in materials science and engineering from the University of Florida, Gainesville, in 1995. He was a Principal Researcher at the Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology from 1996 to 1999. In 1999, he joined the Department of Optical Engineering, Inje University, Gimhae, South Korea, as an Assistant Professor. In 2002, he founded the Department of Nano Engineering at the Inje University. He served as a Dean of Research Affairs of the University from 2004 to 2006. He is currently the Director of the Center for Nano-Manufacturing. He is also the Director of the BK21 Nano System Project. He is the author or coauthor of more than 60 journal and peer-reviewed conference proceeding papers related to the compound semiconductor devices, and carbon nanotube- and ZnO-based devices. Dr. Jeon is a member of several professional societies such as the Korean Physics Society, the Korean Materials Research Society, and the Optical Engineering Society.
