Mehran Afshar

Mehran Afshar is a consultant oncologist at St George's University Hospitals, London, specialising in urological malignancies. He is also the Clinical Lead for Acute Oncology Services, and Lead for Undergraduate Studies in Oncology. His research interests include big data research, cancer informatics, biomarkers in cancer, and psycho-oncology, focussing on prostate, bladder, kidney and penile cancers. Dr Afshar believes in a multi-faceted approach to cancer research and the care of the cancer patient - integrating scientific, holistic and technological interventions into an overarching therapeutic paradigm.
