Dr. Md. Rashedunnabi Akanda is a Professor of Pharmacology at Sylhet Agricultural University, Bangladesh. He was an NIH Postdoctoral Fellow at Indiana University School of Medicine in the United States. Besides, he completed postdoctoral training in South Korea at Chonnam National University Medical School and Hwasun Hospital. Dr. Akanda received his Ph.D. from Jeonbuk National University Veterinary School, South Korea. He holds a bachelor's degree in DVM and a master's degree in pharmacology from Sylhet Agricultural University. His primary responsibilities include teaching, counseling, and mentoring veterinary medicine students. His research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of inflammation and cancer in cells and animal models. Professor Akanda has published more than 50 peer-reviewed academic research papers (Web of Science Master Journal Publications, n=28). He works as a peer reviewer for several academic journals. And above all, he belongs to several professional organizations.
