Mauro de Mesquita Spinola received the undergraduate degree in electronic engineering from the Technological Institute for Aeronautics (ITA), São José dos Campos, Brazil, in 1979; the M.Sc. degree in computer systems from the National Institute of Space Research (INPE), São José dos Campos, in 1986; and the Ph.D. degree in production engineering from the Polytechnic School, University of São Paulo (Poli-USP), Sao Paulo, Brazil, in 1999. He is an Associate Professor with the Production Engineering Department, Poli-USP. He developed relevant information technology (IT) research and development projects related to traffic control system development and systems engineering process improvement. His recent research works are focused on implementation effectiveness of IT models, and knowledge management modeling and measuring. His main research interest includes IT process management.
