Matteo Negro

Matteo Negro was born in Milan, Italy, in 1984. He received the Bachelor’s degree in physical engineering, in 2006, and the Master’s degree in physical engineering—micro and nanotechnologies, in 2009, from Politecnico di Milano, Milan, Italy. He is currently a Ph.D. student of physics at the Physics Department of Politecnico di Milano, Milan, Italy. His research activity concerns the generation of high-order harmonics driven by mid-IR high-energy laser sources and its application to atomic and molecular spectroscopy. He is also interested in the filamentation of femtosecond laser pulses in atomic and molecular gases and its application to ultrafast spectroscopy and pulse shaping.
