Mary Jo Knobloch

Mary Jo Knobloch currently works for the Madison VA and the Department of Medicine, Infectious Disease, University of Wisconsin–Madison. Mary Jo does research in Qualitative Social Research, Public Health, Implementation Science with an emphasis on patient safety in the area of antibiotic resistance, antibiotic stewardship and infection control and prevention. Current work includes a Patient-Centered Outcome Research Institute (PCORI) award that engages patients in the process of setting research agenda in the area of healthcare-associated infections, pharmacist and nurse practitioner roles in antibiotic stewardship, a comparative effectiveness study related to pharmacy-driven stewardship strategies, and executive leadership role in sustaining evidence-based practices at the unit level.
