Research focus in Oral Biofilms, specifically Candida albicans and its interactions with the host microbiome and immune response. Postdoctoral Research experience at the UConn Health Center, on Oral Health and Diagnostic Sciences, where I have been developing an in vivo mouse model of Chemotherapy Induced Oral mucositis and the role of bacteria in the oropharyngeal Candidiasis Development. Excellent project management skills, being equally comfortable working by myself or in a team. Have gained national and international recognition as an expert in my field, currently reviewing many papers for strong scientific journals.
