I am a medical oncologist who cares for people with genitourinary cancer. I focus on the management of advanced cancers of the kidney. I am a strong believer in patient education, shared decision-making, and the importance of recognizing that these cancers and therapies can have a tremendous impact on the day-to-day lives of patients and their families. I work as part of an expert team of surgeons, pathologists, radiation oncologists, and medical oncologists at MSK. We collaborate closely to provide the best possible care to our patients.

My research focuses on the development of new treatments for people with advanced kidney cancer, particularly immunotherapy. Our team seeks to improve the current standards of care through the design and conduct of clinical trials. I have served as the principal investigator for many clinical trials in the United States and internationally.

I also collaborate closely with various scientists at MSK. Our goal is to better understand the intricate genomic and molecular background of renal cell carcinoma. Ultimately, our work in the laboratory aims to lay the foundation for a more individualized approach to our patients’ treatments.

My research efforts have been recognized by the Conquer Cancer Foundation, the American Cancer Society, and the Kidney Cancer Association.
