Martin Ignacio Garcia Asorey

During my B.S. and my Doctorate, my work focused on salmonids population ecology and dynamics in the context of management and conservation. This line of research has offered vast opportunities to identify and generate actions and techniques for developing biologically-sound fisheries and a more effective management of aquatic communities that are directly or indirectly affected by growing human activities. Currently, I am a faculty member in the GIDTAP Lab at the National Technological University (Argentina). I teach the “Probability and Statistics” and “Fisheries Resources I” courses. I mostly work on management strategy evaluation relating to recreational fisheries, and the impact of watershed land use and land cover on fish habitat quality and recreational fishery quality.
