My ongoing interests include application of cardiac ultrasound and other cardiac imaging techniques to the study of disease processes and risk factors from an epidemiological standpoint. Primary areas of interest include left ventricular remodeling and hypertrophy, cardiac disease in chronic renal insufficiency, aortic valve disease, and cardiac disease in obesity before and after bariatric surgery
