Nadia Valentina Martínez-Villegas Ph.D. Full Professor of Applied Geosciences , IPICyT, Mexico She is a soil, water, and environmental (bio)chemist. Her research focuses on the understanding of 1) arsenic in calcareous and gypsic environments in order to alleviate the problem of arsenic pollution in central Mexico, 2) reactions at the soil-solution interface between metal and metalloids, and 3) the characterization of Cuban peloides that are used for therapeutic purposes.
