Lucía Núñez

Graduated in Chemistry (1991) and PhD in Physiology (1995) at the University of Valladolid, Spain. Posdoctoral stay at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston, SC, USA (1996-1999). Postdoctoral associated and Ramon y Cajal fello at the Institute of Biology and Molecular Genetics (IBGM), University of Valladolid and CSIC (2000-2007). In 2008, she obtained a tenure Associate Professorship at the Valladolid University Medical School. She is principal investigator jointly with Dr. Carlos Villalobos of a research team on the Physiopathology of intracellular calcium and leads research on Calcium signaling in neuronal aging and Alzheimer´s disease.
