Dr. Markus Wenzel is a senior scientist in the Applied Machine Learning Group at the AI department of Fraunhofer HHI (Berlin). With machine learning, he addresses problems from the life sciences, neuroscience and medicine. Results of his research have been published in Bioinformatics, BMJ Health Care Inform., BMC Bioinform., BMC Genom., Front. Neurosci., J Neurosci., J Neural Eng., J Med. Syst., Medical Image Analysis, Nature Digital Medicine, IEEE CSM, PloS One, and The Lancet. He serves as deliverable editor and co-chair of WG-O of the ITU-WHO FG on AI for Health.
