My research interest is aquatic ecology in general. Specifically, the rare tufa-forming environments and karst (small) water bodies. The main focus of my research are the macroinvertebrates - community structuring, recolonization patterns, and behavior under stress, mainly hydraulic stress i.e. flow intermittence. I also work in biomonitoring/bioassessment and have done some work in Mediterranean ponds.
