Mark Paul Leach received the B.Eng. (Hons.) degree in communication and electronic engineering and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and electronic engineering from the University of Northumbria, Newcastle upon Tyne, U.K., in 1999 and 2005, respectively. From 2003 to 2008, he was a Research Associate in the field of microwave holography. From 2008 to 2013, he was a Lecturer with the Seoul National University of Science and Technology, Seoul, South Korea, conducting research into thin films for photovoltaic applications. In 2013, he joined the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Xi'an Jiaotong Liverpool University, Suzhou, China, where he is currently the Head of Department. His research interests include antennas, radio frequency/microwave engineering, electromagnetic measurements/simulations, energy harvesting, wireless power/energy transfer, and wireless communication networks.
