Marius Pustan received the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Cluj-Napoca, Romania, in 2006. He is an Associate Professor with the Department of Machine Elements and Tribology, Technical University of Cluj-Napoca. Since 2009, he has been an international visitor at the University of Liège, Liège, Belgium. His expertise in microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) characterizations includes the following: experimental investigations and validations of mechanical properties of MEMS structures using atomic force microscope and nanoidenter (stress-strain behavior and hardness), investigations of the tribological properties of MEMS and thin films (friction, wear, and nanolubrication), and surface characterization (morphological analysis, topographical characterization, and stiction).
