Marin Gheorghe

Marin Gheorghe was born in Hulubesti, Romania, in 1954. He received the B.Sc. degree in chemistry in 1979 from “Politehnica” University, Bucharest, Romania, and the Ph.D. degree in biochemistry in 1998 from the University of Bucharest. He has worked on microfluidics and DNA analysis at Virginia Commonwealth University from 1999 to 2001, and the University of Texas at Arlington, in 2001, Bremen University, Germany, from 2002 to 2004. Since 2004 he has been with Tyndall National Institute, Cork, Ireland. His current research field is BioMEMS.
