M. Bardies

Manuel Bardiès received the Ph.D. degree in radiological physics in 1991. He joined INSERM (French National Institute of Health and Medical Research) in 1992. He currently supervises the Radiopharmaceutical Dosimetry group within the Centre de Recherche en Cancérologie Nantes-Angers (CRCNA, INSERM UMR 892), Nantes, France). The development and supervision of the group is based on a tight coordination between the research team and associated clinical departments: Basic science projects are usually pursued within INSERM UMR 892, whereas more applied (clinical) projects are carried out within Nuclear Medicine clinical departments in Nantes (University Hospital or Cancer Centre). Targeted radionuclide therapy dosimetry is addressed at different scales, from cellular to organ level, using various methodological approaches including Monte Carlo modeling of nuclear medicine imaging and energy deposition. He has authored more than 30 publications and has given many invited lectures at national and international meetings. Dr. Bardiès is a member of several scientific societies and has been a member of the EANM dosimetry committee since 2001.
