His research areas include Renewable Energy Systems, Power Electronics and Control, Artificial Intelligence, Neural Networks, Modelling and Simulation, Optimization, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Soft Computing, and the Internet of Things. He has been a Technical Program Committee Member, International Scientific Committee Member of many international conferences. He acts as an editorial board member and reviewer for many peer-reviewed international journals (Springer, Elsevier, IEEE, etc.).
