His background is physical chemistry of fine particulate solids, with preferential research
field of solid state reactions and reactivity of solids. His particular interest is concentrated on
the mechanochemical reactions at the boundary between inorganic and organic solids. He is
one of the co-founders of International Mechanochemical Association.
His recent activity is concentrated on the rationalization of preparation processes of
functional fine particles in view of energy storage devices, particularly for all-oxide solid-state Li-ion batteries. His recent research activities are associated with some research institutes in European countries, among others, Institute Josef Stefan, Ljubljana, Institute of Nanotechnology in Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Institute of Geotechnics, SAS, Kosice, and J. Heyrovsky Institute of Physical Chemistry, Prague.
