My research interests are focused on exploring the neural correlates of hand motor actions in healthy subjects. Adopting different neuroimaging approaches, I have investigated the representational content in areas of the motor network when planning and when executing hand actions. I am interested in studying the functional interactions that occur between regions involved in different hand motor tasks in the dorsal and the ventral visual streams, and in understanding the flexibility of the motor network when a brain focal damage occurs. The expertise I have acquired in my PhD includes data collection with fMRI, TMS and MEG. For data analysis I use standard univariate approaches as well as vanguard techniques including multivariate (MVPA) and connectivity (DCM) analysis on fMRI data.
