I am interested in both "light" and "dark" traits and behaviors as well as the question whether certain morbid, presumably pathological traits and behaviors may have certain adaptive potentials (e.g., morbid curiosity, true crime consumption, malevolent creativity). Currently, my research focuses on psychological and neuronal correlates of malevolent creativity (creativity intentionally used to harm others), and true crime consumption as a potential gender-specific coping strategy for threat.
