Maren Ortiz-Zarragoitia

My research is focused on the effects of environmental pollutants on aquatic organisms, with special emphasis on endocrine disruptors and the development of early warning biomarkers. I am also involve in understanding the sex determination and differentiation mechanisms of fish and marine invertebrates. I currently work with techniques based on molecular (gene transcription and sequencing), cellular (biochemical enzyme and protein detection) and histological analysis.
