Michel Joindot

Michel Joindot (M’84–SM’93) received the Eng. degree from Ecole Polytechnique, Paris, France, in 1967 and Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications, Paris, France, in 1970. Since 1970, he has been at CNET, now France Telecom R&D, successively involved on millimeter waveguide, radio systems, and communications (modulation, equalization, synchronisation) and after 1990 on optical transmission and transport networks. He has been a Technical Staff Member, in the fields of optical transmission and digital communications. From 1984 to 1992, he was the In-Charge of the Ph.D. level in signal processing and digital communications at the University of Rennes 1. He had left France Telecom in December 2006, and is currently with ENSSAT, University of Rennes 1, Lannion, France, where he is involved in the research on optical functions and systems and especially digital communications aspects within the FOTON Laboratory.
