个人简介
My prime research interest is to understand how urban areas influence humans health and how cities function. I aspire to decode the external exposome and realize healthy cities by means of a better understanding of how the environment shapes people’s mental health, by 1) making theoretical contributions to human–environment interactions, 2) developing data-driven solutions to reduce environmental stressors, and 3) underpin evidence-based policies. My research bridges the gap between technology- and data-driven geographic information science and more conventional urban geographies. Through my studies, I address a wide spectrum of pressing urban challenges such as health, transportation, housing, urban growth, and crime, among others. The common denominator of my research is explaining multifaceted spatial and spatiotemporal urban processes affecting our society by taking advantage of computational methods, paving the way to bring us closer to healthy cities. I am curious about how experienced environmental exposures affect people's mental health outcomes. Thereby, I put people's daily mobility and their residential life-course central.
