I am interested in nature conservation research. Particularly, I am working on anthropogenic effects on wildlife, e.g. long-term developments of populations, energy transformation in line with animal conservation, wildlife in times of urbanization, emerging infectious diseases. Bats are an ideal model because some species can live in close proximity to humans, while others are sensitive to anthropogenic disturbance and require natural habitats. Besides, bats are fascinating!
