Research has been carried out in the area of analytical food chemistry, analytical biochemistry, sensor and biosensor, instrumentations and cardiovascular. He has also been working on the development of food analysis since 2011 for the updates of Malaysian Food Composition Database project and program, development of sensor/biosensors for identification of TB, heavy metals, iodine in salt, vitamin D and Covid-19 for the purpose of monitoring in the field/bedside.
