Luciano Zuccarello

Luciano Zuccarello is currently a Senior Researcher with the Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (INGV), Pisa, Italy. He is also a geophysicist with a strong background in seismo-volcanic data analysis and signal processing techniques, with more than 15 years of research experience in seismology, volcano monitoring, and eruption forecasting. He has been the Team Leader of a Research Team, INGV, to study the dynamic of volcanoes through multidisciplinary geophysical approaches, including seismo-acoustic arrays and borehole strainmeters. His research interests include the analysis of geophysical signals, unifying seismic, gravimetric, and geochemical time series at different volcanic areas worldwide. Dr. Zuccarello was a recipient of the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship (VOLCANOWAVES 798480) devoted to automatic volcano-seismic signals analysis to improve early warning protocols by identifying seismo-volcanic precursors from multi-parametric data.
