Dr. Baron Lonner is the Chief of the Division of Spine Surgery and Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City. He has over 85 publications in the orthopedic literature. His research interests include outcomes in spinal deformity surgery and non-operative care. He and his team have developed 2 new outcome instruments for adolescent idiopathic scoliosis. Dr. Lonner has a keen interest in the interplay of cost and quality and the value equation in spine care. He is a reviewer for 4 spine journals. He is also an associate editor on the editorial board for the Journal of Spinal Deformity. Dr. Lonner is a member of the Scoliosis Research Society and is Chair of the Advocacy Committee.
