Liheluka Edwin

Edwin Liheluka is a dedicated and a kind-hearted person with a warm personality and more than 15 years of experience in research at Tanzania National Institute for Medical Research. Edwin Liheluka has a BA degree from Dar es Salaam University and Master’s of Science Degree in Public Health from Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University Collage, Kilimanjaro-Tanzania. At present Edwin Liheluka is pursuing PhD training at Dodoma University, Dodoma-Tanzania majoring in Public Health (Medical Anthropology). Edwin is an experienced Research Scientist who has coordinated and managed various clinical research related to Malaria, HIV and Diarrhoea. Edwin has also completed professional training in GCP, Human Subjects Protection, Research Ethics and Clinical Trials Monitoring course. Furthermore he possesses sets of skills in designing research proposals, collecting, analysing, managing and interpreting data of both qualitative and quantitative research. Main area of research interests • Designing and drafting qualitative research proposals • Preparing qualitative research tools and conducting informed consent (Sensitizing Government officials and communities about proposed research works) • Collecting qualitative data through (Focus Group Discussions and In-depth interviews with key Informants), transcribing, translating (VERBATIM) and analysing collected data by using computer software programs or manually. • Writing final research report
