My group has made significant contributions to pioneering studies leveraging high-throughput sequencing approaches to gain insights into mammalian host interaction with infectious agents. Our research has revealed novel virulence and host defense mechanisms and highlighted the roles of regulatory RNAs in this context. Recently, we have uncovered new roles of long non-coding RNAs and RNA-binding proteins in human myeloid cells during viral and bacterial infections in vitro and in vivo.
