Bio

His research interests include space science, space technology, satellite- and ground-based mission design, the implications of global climate change for the stability of nations, and innovation. He is particularly interested in new instruments that characterize the geospace environment. He has published over 300 scientific/technical papers and holds one patent. He was recently selected to participate on the Heliophysics 2050 activity for NASA. He is PI for the Air Force DMSP program SSUSI instrument and co-PI for the NASA TIMED mission’s Global Ultraviolet Imager (GUVI).
