Lazzaro Lorenzo

I have been working since 2015 at the Department of Biology of the University of Florence and since 2010 as a freelance botanist. Since my PhD course, my main research fields have been focused on plant community ecology, management of plant species and habitats worthy of conservation, and ecology and management of plant invasions. I have been involved in several EU LIFE projects focused on the restoration of flora and vegetation (LETS GO GIGLIO, RESTO CON LIFE, MONTECRISTO2010) and the management and awareness-raising on Invasive Alien Species (LIFE ASAP). As a professional, I have been working since 2010 on several projects focusing on the conservation and restoration of habitats and plants worthy of conservation, with a focus on habitat and species distribution mapping, assessment of pressures and threats to biodiversity, and development of measures for nature conservation.
